EFT (emotional freedom technique) is an alternative healing modality, like acupressure, REIKI, or other energy work that helps the body address symptoms. This technique doesn’t provide the healing. The body heals itself. This process merely supports the body.
As you listen and follow along, be sure to copy the tapping sequence from start to end. As you repeat the words that I am using, more words may come up for you to consider. Whatever thoughts pop into your mind, say them aloud as they are key to getting to the root of whatever is causing the anxiety. Whatever emotion you are thinking about or feeling is the key to shifting the energy and releasing the anxiety.
Before beginning tapping, reflect for a moment on the level of anxiety you are experiencing. Give it a number between 1-10 (with ten being the most anxious) and have this be your set point with the goal of reducing that number to below 5. Check in with yourself after 2-3 rounds of tapping to see what the number dropped to.
As you begin tapping the karate chop area of your hand, keep in mind these words:
“Even though I have this anxiety, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.”
